Marchetti Palace - Salina - Municipality of Malfa

Palazzo Marchetti is a historic residence in the town of Malfa, in Salina, which represents an original synthesis between the nineteenth-century Aeolian style and modern comfort.

The panoramic view on the vineyards and the cobalt blue sea of the Aeolian Islands is combined with silence, broken only by the tolling of bells and the sounds of nature. Palazzo Marchetti hosts important events, including concerts, theatrical performances, “lectures” of literary texts, debates and book presentations e especially a prestigious event such as the Salina DocFest.

Palazzo Marchetti was built in the 1920s by Antonino Marchetti, emigrated to the United States from Salina. In 1993 the palace was donated to the Didime '90 Association, in order to promote educational and cultural activities for Salina's inhabitants and his numerous tourists.

Since 90's musical events, book presentations, artistic performances, gastronomic festivals, cultural meetings, were promoted by volunteers in this beautiful palace.
