Church of Maria SS. Del Rosario - Rocca of Capri Leone

This cult building has been the center of Rocca's spiritual life since its development in the early 20th century. The church, not large in size, dates back to the early twentieth century, but today's appearance is obtained from restorations and adaptations carried out in the mid-eighties. The building, with a single apsidal nave, is characterized externally by the modern bell tower while, inside, it houses sculptural works of the twentieth century. On the main altar stands the oldest sculptural group, the Calabrian wooden one of 1933 of the Madonna del Rosario represented in the Pompeian iconography with the Virgin and Child seated on a pedestal in the act of giving the Rosary to Saints Dominic of Guzman and Catherine of Siena.
