Rosary Church - Galati Mamertino

The Church of the Rosary is the oldest of all the churches of Galati Mamertino and was built around 1530. On the main altar you can admire a marble statue depicting the Madonna delle Nevi, by Gagini. The tabernacle from the early 1600s is also from the Gaginian school. Like other statues of great value there are the sculptural group depicting the handover of the keys of Jesus to St. Peter (Gabriel Cabrera Cardona 1666), the restored statue of S. Rocco, S. Francesco d'Assisi, S. Antonio da Padova, the Madonna del Carmelo, S. Giuseppe with the Child, S. Francesco da Paola, the Madonna del Rosario and a late 600 wooden crucifix of the farrier.
